Scenario: if a successful candidate is engaged through the JSE but then later resigns, does this position then need to be re-advertised through the JSE or can a different suitable candidate be appointed from the previous selection process for that position?
- If the successful candidate resigns within three (3) months of commencing the role and a new suitable candidate can be found from the initial recruitment process for that specific role (that was advertised on the JSE) it is not necessary to re-advertise the position. Suitable candidates from recruitment processes for other positions should not be used to fill this vacancy. If it is necessary to re-advertise the position to find a suitable candidate, then this should occur through the JSE.
- If the resignation occurs after three (3) months and a decision is made to fill the vacancy, it should be advertised through the JSE.
