Yes. When advertising a job externally in the first instance, in parallel with JSE advertising, JSE applicants must (where reasonably practicable) be considered and assessed using the RA Guidelines, prior to consideration of external applicants.
To do this, you should:
- screen the external applicants to see if any appear to be ‘internal’ on the Springboard candidate grid;
- screen the external applicants to see if any have used a VPS email domain when they applied;
- move any candidates to the JSE folder who have notified you that they applied on an external jobs board but they are JSE-eligible (after their JSE-eligibility has been verified), where it is reasonably practicable to do so (as per clause 25 and 33 of the JSE Policy)
- where circumstances permit and as required, review application materials of external applicants to determine if any might be JSE-eligible.
