Eligibility for JSE access
Appendix A of the JSE Recruitment Policy (JSE Policy) sets out who is eligible to access and apply for roles through the JSE jobs board, including:
Victorian Public Service (VPS) employees employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) all employees of the Teaching Service, per s2.4.37 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic)
To assess if an employer is a VPS employer, and its staff are therefore eligible to access the JSE, you can refer to the column heading ‘Public Sector Body Type’ under this list from the VPSC List of public sector employers. In rare circumstances, a VPS employee may work for an employer that is not included in this list, for example, while on secondment or as part of a hosting arrangement. As a VPS employee, these employees are still eligible to access the JSE. If you are unsure about eligibility, please contact jse@vpsc.gov.au.

JSE Access for Victorian Public Sector employees
Some employees of Victorian public entities may be granted access to the JSE (for a limited period of time) if their organisation is affected by workforce change and they have been nominated by their organisation. (See JSE Recruitment Policy – Appendix B.)
If you are a member of the JSE you will need to log in to your JSE account and add/update your eligibility. We recommend you add your personal email address as your preferred email. This is important so that we can communicate with you after you have left your employment, and you can reset your password when you no longer have access to your work email.
For people outside these groups, careers.vic.gov.au continues to be the site for all externally advertised public sector jobs and career opportunities.
You can contact our friendly support team at any time if you have any questions: jse@vpsc.vic.gov.au
